EL34 Power and Hybrid Preamp Design for Classic EVH Sound

The 5150 Iconic 1×10 combo is powered by a single EL34 power tube and voiced by a complex, multi-stage hybrid preamp section anchored by two ECC83 tubes. This combination delivers the signature 5150 sound, with pristine cleans and searing high-gain tones that are tight, clear and articulate. The amp’s 15 watts of power provide ample volume for practice, rehearsal and even smaller gigs.

Two Channels With Dual Voicings for Versatility

This combo amp features two channels, each with an extra voicing for even more versatility. The Green channel boasts an overdrive button to go from clean tones to increased gain, while the Red channel’s burn button adds fiery crunch that’s ideal for blistering leads. Each channel houses its own gain and volume controls, allowing for level-matching when switching between clean and high-gain channels. The shared EQ (Low, Mid, and High), global resonance and presence knobs, and a global reverb control provide further tone-shaping options.

Custom-Voiced EVH 10″ Celestion Speaker for Optimal Tone

The 5150 Iconic 1×10 combo houses a custom-designed EVH 10″ Celestion speaker that’s been specifically voiced for this amp’s preamp circuit. This ensures that the pristine cleans and searing high-gain tones are tight, clear and articulate, delivering the iconic EVH sound with exceptional detail and definition.

Comprehensive Features for Enhanced Performance

This EVH 5150 amp is packed with features that enhance its performance and versatility. The 1/4 power switch allows you to reduce the wattage, making it ideal for home practice or studio recording without sacrificing tone. The speaker-emulated D.I. 1/8″ output jack with power amp mute allows for direct recording or connection to a PA system.
