Description

The EVH 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 50W 1×12 combo distills the ferocity, precision and massive dynamic range of the original 5150III 6L6 tube amp into a lightweight, stage-ready digital design?with no compromise in feel, punch or authority. Powered by advanced DSP and a high-performance digital power amp, it captures the tight low end, explosive output, immediate attack and wide clean headroom that made the 5150III 6L6 a modern icon. Three fully independent channels preserve the amp?s clean sparkle, mid-gain grind and signature high-gain aggression, while today?s players benefit from flexible modern connectivity including IR-equipped XLR out, power scaling and silent recording options. Paired with a 12″ Celestion EVH G12H speaker and rugged closed-back cabinet, the Hypersonic delivers genuine 5150 punch and articulation in a format built for the demands of modern performance and production.

Advanced DSP Delivers Authentic 5150III 6L6 Performance

At the core of the 5150III Hypersonic is a next-generation DSP engine that models the original 5150III 6L6 at a component level, capturing the unmistakable tube feel, dynamic response and harmonic complexity that define its legacy. This advanced modeling recreates the fast transient response, immense clean headroom and tight, high-output punch of real 6L6 tubes, while the high-performance digital power amp delivers the same immediacy, articulation and touch sensitivity players expect from the original. Whether you?re digging into percussive palm-mutes, shaping edge-of-breakup cleans or pushing saturated leads, the Hypersonic responds with the precision, aggression and tonal consistency of a genuine 5150?now in a lighter, more versatile format built for modern stages and studios.

Three Independent Channels With Per-Channel Noise Gates

The 5150III Hypersonic?s three channels?Clean, Crunch and Lead?each offer independent gain, three-band EQ, volume and noise gate trim for total control of your gain staging and response. Channels 1 and 2 use updated concentric controls for faster, more intuitive operation onstage. The onboard noise gates are fully adjustable per channel, letting you tame high-gain hiss without choking sustain or feel. The included five-button footswitch expands control even further, enabling both reverb and effects-loop selection from the floor for streamlined live performance.

12″ Celestion EVH G12H Speaker Designed for Classic 5150 Punch

To deliver the physical impact and midrange authority of the original combo, the 5150III Hypersonic pairs its DSP engine with a custom 12″ Celestion EVH G12H Anniversary speaker?a driver voiced specifically for the aggressive bite, tight lows and articulate highs of EVH amps. The 11-ply, 15 mm closed-back plywood cabinet enhances projection and low-frequency focus, giving the amp the chest-hitting punch and mix-cutting clarity that define the 5150 sound. The result is a digital combo that feels remarkably powerful, immediate and organic?capturing the presence and authority of a true 5150 tube amp even at stage volume.

IR Cabinet Simulation, Power Scaling and Modern Connectivity

Designed for real-world flexibility, the 5150III Hypersonic includes a balanced XLR line out with selectable IR cabinet simulations for polished, plug-and-play tones direct to front-of-house or your recording interface. A power selector provides full power plus five attenuated modes, letting you achieve high-gain saturation at any volume. Additional features?including a mute switch for silent recording, effects loop, MIDI control, USB-C for firmware updates and headphone output?make the 5150III Hypersonic equally at home onstage, in the studio or in your practice setup.
