Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ Rosewood Fingerboard – Coral Red

Description

The Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ brings flexible, thunderous tone and slick style to your playing. Since 1964, Fender’s Mustang Bass has been a popular choice for bassists of all styles and this updated version adds a pair of pickups for versatile sound. The split single-coil P Bass middle pickup delivers punchy lows and mids, while the Jazz Bass neck pickup growls with rich lows?toggle between them for tones that suit any genre.

Short Scale, Nimble Feel

The Mustang Bass PJ’s 30″ scale length provides a loose, nimble feel that’s ideal for energetic or complex playing styles. The shorter scale reduces string tension, making the lower frets easier to play while adding warmth to the higher notes. A sleek C-shaped maple neck and 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard mean this bass plays fast and smooth.

Iconic Tone in a Short-Scale Package

The Mustang Bass PJ’s pair of Alnico 5 pickups provide a palette of quintessential Fender tones. The split Precision Bass pickup in the middle position delivers a thick, fundamental sound with punchy attack. The Jazz Bass neck pickup adds a growling, mid-focused voice. Blend the pickups or select them individually with the three-way switch to craft your signature sound. The shorter 30″ scale reduces string tension for a loose, playable feel while enhancing low-end bloom and high-end sparkle.

Classic Styling, Modern Sound

This Mustang Bass nods to the iconic 1964 original with a contoured alder body, four-bolt neck joint and vintage-style hardware?but packs modern power under the hood. Master volume and tone controls shape your sound and a three-way switch selects the punchy P Bass pickup, growling J Bass pickup or a combination of both for the ultimate in tonal flexibility.

Lightweight, Stage-Ready

The Mustang Bass PJ’s compact body balances comfort and style, fitting smaller frames while maintaining Fender’s classic design. It’s also lightweight, making it ideal for energetic stage performances. Play a piece of bass history updated with features for today’s musician?order your Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ bass today.
