The AEGB30E is a high-performance, innovative instrument for bassists seeking a robust acoustic tone with premium features.

Spruce and Sapele Deliver Standout Tone

The AEGB30E’s tonewood combination of spruce and sapele provides an ideal balance of warmth, resonance and clarity. Spruce is a popular top wood choice for its pristine articulation and tonal responsiveness. Paired with sapele?a wood similar to mahogany?the AEGB30E produces a full midrange, rich low end and bright highs. Whether playing solo or with other musicians, this acoustic-electric bass cuts through with a natural acoustic voice that inspires.

Innovative Electronics Shape Your Sound

The AEGB30E features an Ibanez under-saddle pickup and AEQ-2T preamp with onboard tuner. The preamp gives you control over the bass and treble frequencies, enabling you to boost the lows for a warmer tone or accentuate the highs for extra definition. An easy-to-read LED display aids in tuning and ensures you’re always in tune. With simple controls and a 9-volt battery, the AEGB30E’s preamp provides maximum tonal versatility for any musical situation.

Comfortable Playability

Designed for ergonomic comfort, the AEGB30E has a slim single-cutaway body, 3-piece neck, and 22-fret fingerboard. The body depth and forearm contour promote a balanced feel whether seated or standing. A walnut bridge and fingerboard further enhance playability with a smooth, fast playing surface. For extra comfort, a wooden finger rest below the fingerboard allows you to rest your thumb in a natural position. Overall, the AEGB30E is an innovative yet familiar acoustic-electric bass that feels as good as it sounds.

Premium Appointments Complete the Package

Die-cast tuners provide precise, stable tuning. An acrylic rosette and ivoroid binding accentuate the spruce top. All together, the details of the AEGB30E highlight Ibanez’s commitment to excellence in the acoustic bass category.
