Nordstrand Big Single Pickups for Powerful Tone

The BTB946 is equipped with Nordstrand Big Single pickups, delivering a full-bodied, aggressive sound with the clarity that single-coil pickups are known for. These pickups offer punchy lows, defined mids and clear highs, making this bass ideal for any playing style. Paired with the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ and a 3-way mid frequency switch, players can shape their tone to perfection, from deep, growling basslines to crisp, articulate solos.

Neck-Through Construction for Maximum Sustain

The neck-through construction of the BTB946 ensures enhanced sustain and resonance, allowing notes to ring out with exceptional clarity. The 5-piece maple and walnut neck, reinforced with graphite rods, provides tonal stability and superior attack, while the rosewood fretboard offers a balanced tone with focused mids. The medium stainless steel frets are durable and long-lasting, making this bass a reliable choice for both studio and stage performances.

Premium Materials and Customizable Hardware

The BTB946 features a striking poplar burl top with an okoume/ash wing body, delivering a bright and solid tone with rich sustain. The MR5S bridge allows for adjustable string spacing, giving players the flexibility to fine-tune their setup for optimal playability. Additionally, the EQ bypass switch provides precision tonal adjustments, allowing players to switch between active and passive modes seamlessly.
