Ibanez Mode MDM1300 Electric Bass Guitar – Natural Stained Amber Burst

Description

The Ibanez Mode MDM1300 electric bass guitar is a high-performance evolution of the classic J-style platform, reimagined for the player who demands surgical precision and modern versatility. As part of Ibanez?s all-new Mode Series, it bridges the gap between vintage soul and contemporary engineering, pairing a resonant ash body with a roasted maple neck and fingerboard for rock-solid stability and a snappy, articulate response. At its core, the Delta S4J pickups and Sonitech S preamp deliver a vast landscape of high-fidelity tones, featuring a three-band EQ and an EQ bypass switch for flexible tone shaping. The addition of the MR5S mono-rail bridge?with its adjustable string spacing?ensures maximum vibration transfer and a custom-tailored feel. Whether you?re sculpting intricate studio lines or driving a live mix, the Mode MDM1300 provides the refined ergonomics and expansive tone-shaping required to master any musical environment.

Ash Body for Punch, Clarity and Dynamic Response

An ash body gives the Mode MDM1300 a bright, punchy tonal foundation with enhanced upper-mid presence and definition, helping notes speak clearly in dense mixes. The lightweight construction keeps the bass comfortable and well balanced, while the specially modified Mode Series body shape ensures smooth access to all 24 frets. A transparent pickguard adds a clean, modern visual touch without obscuring the natural grain, reinforcing the instrument?s blend of classic influence and contemporary design.

Roasted Maple Neck and Fingerboard for Speed and Stability

A one-piece roasted maple neck provides exceptional stability, reduced weight and a quick, immediate response across the fretboard. Its thin C-profile and rounded fretboard edges create a fast, effortless feel that supports extended playing sessions and technical passages. The roasted maple fingerboard enhances clarity and attack, while medium stainless steel frets ensure smooth articulation, accurate intonation and long-term durability. Luminescent side dots offer reliable visual reference on dark stages, keeping performance confident in any environment.

Delta S4J Pickups and Sonitech S Preamp for Deep Tonal Control

The MDM1300 is equipped with a pair of Ibanez Delta S4J pickups, delivering an aggressive yet balanced single-coil voice with hum-canceling performance. Their even response across the frequency range allows the bass to cut through the mix while retaining nuance and clarity. These pickups are paired with the Sonitech S preamp, offering master volume and balancer, master tone, three-band EQ, EQ bypass and a three-way mid-frequency switch. A rear-mounted Hexa mid system expands this further with two selectable mid-frequency banks, providing six total mid points for highly detailed tone shaping in both active and passive operation.

Precision Hardware and Player-Focused Appointments

Ibanez Aero-light tuners, constructed with Extra Super Duralumin components, reduce headstock weight while delivering smooth, precise tuning stability. The MR5S Mono-rail bridge enhances string-to-string clarity and sustain, with adjustable string spacing that allows players to fine-tune feel and response. A detachable finger ramp is included to support faster, more consistent fingerstyle technique, making the MDM1300 adaptable to a wide range of playing styles and approaches.

The Ibanez MDM1300: Modern Precision With Classic Roots

With its ash body, roasted maple neck and fingerboard, versatile electronics and carefully engineered hardware, the Ibanez Mode MDM1300 delivers a polished, performance-ready take on the J-style bass. As part of the Mode Series, it balances tradition and innovation with confidence, offering clarity, flexibility and refined playability for modern bassists.
