Jackson X Series RR-B IV Limited-Edition Electric Bass Guitar – Black

Description

The Jackson X Series RR-B IV limited-edition electric bass guitar brings metal?s most iconic silhouette into the low-end realm with unapologetic aggression and refined playability. Built around the legendary Rhoads body shape, this four-string bass commands attention with its angular design, gloss black finish and sharp white pinstripes.

Beneath the sinister looks lies serious engineering: a poplar body with neck-thru maple construction reinforced with graphite for unparalleled sustain and stability. The amaranth fingerboard?s 12″?16″ compound radius, jumbo frets and 34″ scale deliver smooth, responsive performance across the neck, while Jackson?s signature pointy headstock completes the unmistakable aesthetic. Add the EMG 35DC active humbucker for uncompromising punch and clarity, and a rock-solid hardtail bridge for maximum sustain, and you?ve got a bass that blends legendary style with the brutal tone and reliability today?s heavy players demand.

Iconic Rhoads Body With Neck-Thru Stability

The RR-B IV is defined by its V-style Rhoads body?a symbol of metal attitude for decades. Carved from lightweight poplar, it?s comfortable enough for long sets while delivering the durability gigging musicians need. Its neck-thru-body construction ensures continuous resonance from headstock to bridge, enhancing sustain and tonal depth. Maple reinforced with graphite rods keeps the neck rigid against the stress of aggressive playing and climate changes, so you can count on consistent performance. Finished in menacing gloss black with striking white pinstripes, and topped off with Jackson?s pointy headstock, this bass doesn?t just sound metal?it looks every bit the part, ready to dominate the stage.

Compound-Radius Amaranth Fingerboard for Speed and Precision

Shredding on a bass requires a neck built for speed, and the RR-B IV delivers with its compound-radius amaranth fingerboard. It starts with a rounded 12″ radius at the nut for natural comfort when fretting chords, then gradually flattens to 16″ toward the upper register, making fast runs, bends and tapping passages effortless. With 21 jumbo frets, you get plenty of surface to dig into, while pearloid sharkfin inlays add an unmistakably Jackson look. The 34″ scale length keeps string tension tight and responsive, translating into articulate attack and thunderous low-end punch.

Active EMG Pickup Delivers Aggressive Power

The EMG 35DC humbucker gives the RR-B IV its brutal sonic identity. This active pickup is revered in metal for its ability to balance crushing lows with clarity and definition, even when guitars are drenched in distortion. Its ceramic and steel design produces a powerful response with tight articulation, letting your bass lines punch through without muddying the mix. Whether you?re anchoring the rhythm section with sledgehammer grooves or adding melodic lines on top, the 35DC delivers a commanding voice. Simple volume and tone controls put tonal shaping at your fingertips, making it easy to adjust onstage or in the studio without overcomplicating your setup.

Jackson Hardware Built for Maximum Reliability

Every component of the RR-B IV is engineered for consistent performance. The Jackson hardtail bridge anchors strings firmly, boosting sustain while keeping intonation rock solid under heavy attack. Sealed die-cast tuners ensure precise tuning stability, even during punishing sets and rapid adjustments. Dome-style control knobs provide smooth handling, while the all-black hardware complements the aggressive aesthetic. From the bridge to the headstock, this bass is built with durability in mind, giving players the confidence that it will hold up under the demands of gigging, touring and high-volume rehearsals.
