Schecter Guitar Research Reaper-5 Electric Bass Natural Satin

Description

The Schecter Guitar Research Reaper-5 gives you a modern bass for a wide range of styles. Its swamp ash body resonates with full, articulate tone that cuts through the mix. The figured poplar burl top adds an elegant aesthetic. The maple neck has walnut stringers and carbon fiber reinforcement for rock-solid stability. An ebony fingerboard with offset pearloid inlays provides a smooth playing surface.

Schecter USA M-50 Bridge Pickup and P-50 Neck Pickup

Two Schecter USA pickups give you a wealth of tones to explore. The M-50 bridge pickup delivers punchy midrange, ideal for aggressive playing. The P-50 neck pickup produces warm, round lows perfect for smooth lines. A master volume control lets you blend the pickups and a Darkglass Tone Capsule EQ shapes your tone with bass, mid and upper-mid contour controls. You can emulate iconic bass sounds or craft your own signature tone.

Shape Your Sound with 18V Darkglass EQ

The Reaper-5 includes an 18V Darkglass Tone Capsule EQ module for tone shaping on the fly. This 3-band EQ provides boost/cut at selectable frequencies to enhance the natural qualities of this bass. Dial in additional lows for rumbling dub, boost the mids for a slap-ready funk tone or add highs for clarity in busy mixes. With the Tone Capsule’s wide-ranging tone control, the Reaper-5 adapts to any musical situation.

Ergonomic Design Promotes Comfort

The Reaper-5’s thin C-shaped neck profile gives you a comfortable feel whether you prefer picking or fingerstyle. Its 35″ scale length balances string tension for playability across the range of the 5-string bass. The 16″ radius ebony fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets allow effortless slides and bends. With black chrome hardware and Schecter USA pickups, this bass has a sleek, professional look on stage.

Road-Ready Construction

While the Reaper-5 has an elegant aesthetic, it is built to handle the rigors of performance and touring. The swamp ash body and maple neck provide a solid foundation for the bass.
