Iconic Sound With Roasted Maple Neck and Humbucking Pickup

The RAY34’s roasted maple neck and single alnico humbucking pickup are integral to its iconic StingRay sound. The roasted maple adds snap and clarity to the tone while enhancing sustain. Combined with the focused punch of the humbucker, it creates the balanced, articulate tone StingRays are revered for. Whether you prefer a deep funk groove, soaring rock riff or intricate fusion line, this classic pickup configuration brings out the best in your playing.

Shape Your Sound With 3-Band Active Preamp

Having versatile tone-shaping options at your fingertips is crucial and the RAY34’s 3-band active preamp delivers. It gives you independent boost/cut control over low, mid and high frequencies for dialing in your ideal sound. Scoop the mids for a hollow, funky slap tone. Boost the lows and highs for aggressive rock. Find your sweet spot for jazz, R&B or country. The preamp also helps drive the RAY34’s output, giving you the volume you need whether recording in the studio or playing live.

Lightweight, Gig-Ready Nyatoh Body

The RAY34’s nyatoh body withstands the rigors of touring while keeping your shoulders happy. Nyatoh’s light weight makes the bass comfortable for extended playing sessions, whether you’re recording multiple tracks in the studio or grinding out a 3-hour gig. The contoured body shape with forearm and ribcage cutaways enables your fretting hand to easily reach the highest notes. This combination of light weight, ergonomic shaping and smooth roasted maple neck will keep you playing your best show after show.
