strandberg Boden Bass Standard 5 5-String Electric Bass Natural

Description

The Strandberg Boden Bass Standard 5 brings together an ergonomic design and versatile sound shaping that bassists will love. Part of the acclaimed Strandberg line, the Boden Bass features their patented multi-scale EndurNeck design that follows the natural fanning of your fingers across the strings. This allows effortless, fluid playability along the full length of the roasted maple fingerboard. Combined with the roasted maple neck, you’ll fly up and down the 24 stainless steel frets with ease. To harness the potential of this comfortable neck, Strandberg equips the Boden Bass Standard 5 with a pair of Fishman Fluence Bass pickups. With active preamps, these innovative pickups can dial in everything from deep, growling tones to sparkling highs. An onboard 2-band EQ allows even more tonal control to shape the Fishman pickups to your liking. The headless design provides perfect weight balance as well as an eye-catching modern esthetic. For bassists looking to combine smooth playability with versatile sound shaping, the Strandberg Boden Bass Standard 5 is a superb choice.

Headless Design Creates Perfect Weight Balance

The headless design of the Boden Bass Standard 5 continues Strandberg’s minimalist, function-driven approach. Removing the traditional headstock allowed engineers to perfectly balance the weight of the instrument. Combined with the contoured body shape, you’ll find the Boden remarkably comfortable to play in any position. The headless look also adds an understated, modern style. For bassists seeking top-notch ergonomics and contemporary esthetics, the sleek Boden Bass Standard 5 delivers.

Ergonomic Multi-Scale Design Provides Fluid Fretting

The Strandberg EndurNeck design is a game-changer in terms of playing comfort. It utilizes a patented multi-scale layout with string spacing that follows the natural fanning of your fingers across the neck. This means each string length is customized for comfortable fretting and less hand tension. Combined with the roasted maple neck and fingerboard, you’ll find playing across all 24 stainless steel frets to be fluid and effortless. The EndurNeck profile itself is designed to promote a natural hand position that avoids fatigue over long practice or gigging sessions. The Boden Bass Standard 5’s ergonomic design will keep you playing your very best.

Roasted Maple Neck and Fingerboard Offer Smooth, Fast Play

To complement the ergonomic EndurNeck design, Strandberg selects premium roasted maple for both the neck and fingerboard. The roasted maple undergoes a special heating process that stabilizes the wood, reducing the risk of warping while increasing stability and resilience. Beyond protection, you’ll immediately notice how smoothly and quickly your fingers can run along the roasted maple. Bends, vibratos and rapid runs flow off your fingers with ease. Even during long gigs, the Boden Bass Standard 5’s roasted maple neck promotes comfortably fast playing from the first song to the encore.

Fishman Fluence Pickups Provide Versatile Tone Shaping

Strandberg trusts Fishman Fluence pickups to harness the full potential of their EndurNeck design. The Boden Bass Standard 5 utilizes a pair of Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups, which use advanced neodymium magnets and active preamps to achieve unparalleled tonal versatility. From deep, growling lows to crystalline highs and everything between, you can dial in your ideal bass sound. The Fluence pickups maintain note articulation even at high gain levels. Their wider frequency range means you can use effects without losing bottom end. For bassists who need flexibility, the Fishman Fluence pickups are a potent pairing with the Boden Bass Standard 5.

Onboard EQ Provides Tone Shaping at Your Fingertips

To sculpt your sound utilizing the Fishman Fluence pickups, Strandberg outfits the Boden Bass Standard 5 with a 2-band EQ. The simple but effective EQ lets you dial in the perfect amount of lows and highs at any venue. Cutting or boosting frequencies is easy with the onboard EQ’s intuitive stacked knob controls. Its located on the upper bout within easy reach. Whether you need to compensate for a boomy stage or add some sizzle to your slap tone, the 2-band EQ has you covered. Take your Fishman pickup sound to the next level with the Boden Bass Standard 5’s onboard EQ.
