Three-Ply Shell Construction With Maple Re-Rings

At the core of the Radio King sound is its three-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell construction, designed to produce warm lows, smooth mids and controlled highs. The addition of 100% maple re-rings reinforces each shell for improved structural integrity while enhancing tonal focus and projection. This combination delivers a balanced, resonant voice that remains open yet controlled across a wide tuning range. Whether tuned low for a fuller, vintage-style thump or higher for added articulation and rebound, the shells maintain clarity and depth, allowing the drums to sit naturally in both live and studio environments.

Included Radio King Snare With Zoomatic Throw-Off

The included 14×6.5″ Radio King snare shares the same three-ply shell construction, delivering a full, responsive backbeat with warm tone and controlled sustain. A Zoomatic throw-off allows smooth, precise adjustment of snare tension, while 20-strand snare wires provide crisp articulation and dynamic sensitivity. This combination creates a snare that responds evenly across a wide range of playing styles, from subtle ghost notes to more pronounced accents, while maintaining the classic Radio King character.

Balanced Four-Piece Configuration for Versatile Performance

In addition to the included snare, the 22×14″ bass drum delivers full low-end presence with a controlled, punchy response that balances depth and clarity. The 13×9″ rack tom and 16×16″ floor tom provide clear articulation and a natural tonal spread across the kit, creating a connected feel between drums. This balanced configuration offers versatility across musical styles, making it well suited for both stage and studio environments.

Classic Hardware and Built-In Tone Control

Nickel-plated hardware, Stick Saver hoops and an isolated tom mount promote tuning stability while allowing the shells to resonate naturally. Built-in tone control mufflers provide quick, on-the-fly sustain adjustment without additional dampening, making it easier to adapt to different rooms and playing styles. Designed for drummers seeking classic Radio King tone in a versatile four-piece configuration with an included snare, the Slingerland Radio King 4-piece shell pack delivers a balanced, expressive setup suited for both stage and studio use.
