MESA/Boogie Mark IIC+ HRG 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head Black Bronco

Description

The MESA/Boogie Mark IIC+ HRG 100W tube guitar amp head brings back one of the most legendary formats in the brand?s storied lineup?the “Hundred-Watt/Reverb/Graphic EQ” configuration. Revered since the mid-80s for its immense power and versatility, the HRG offers the perfect mix of shimmering cleans, aggressive crunch and searing lead tones. With 100 watts of all-tube authority, enhanced by built-in reverb and the classic 5-band graphic EQ, this amp is equally at home delivering crystalline headroom or driving high-gain fury. It?s the very format that inspired John Petrucci of Dream Theater, making it a dream amp for players chasing expressive tone, commanding punch and uncompromising flexibility.

All-Tube Power With Immense Headroom

At the heart of the Mark IIC+ HRG lies a formidable 100W Class A/B power section, loaded with four 6L6 tubes and switchable down to 60W for smaller stages. This design gives you commanding low end, maximum headroom and the dynamic response that made the Mark IIC+ legendary. Whether you?re crafting pristine cleans or layering thick crunch rhythms, the HRG responds with bold authority and surgical clarity. For players in need of both massive stage volume and nuanced articulation, the HRG?s power section ensures every note cuts through with definition while still retaining the warmth of an all-tube design.

Legendary Boogie Preamp and Dual-Mode Versatility

Known for its cascading-gain preamp design, the Mark IIC+ HRG delivers one of the most expressive voices ever captured in an amplifier. Its dual-mode operation?switchable between Rhythm and Lead?covers everything from sparkling cleans to vintage-flavored overdrive and full-blown, high-gain lead tones. A shared Volume 1 sets the foundation for both Rhythm and Lead, while dedicated Lead Drive and Lead Master controls let you fine-tune gain and output in high-gain mode. Pull-bright and pull-deep functions further expand the tonal range, adding shimmer on top or extra punch down low. The result is a platform that adapts seamlessly to any style, from classic rock and blues to modern prog metal, with unmistakable Boogie character at every turn.

5-Band Graphic EQ, Built-In Reverb and Pro-Grade Features

The HRG feature set wouldn?t be complete without its three signature tools: onboard reverb, a footswitchable 5-band graphic EQ and a tube-driven series FX loop. The graphic EQ allows precise shaping of mids, highs and lows, enabling everything from tight metal scoops to bold midrange pushes. The lush, built-in reverb adds depth and dimension, while the FX loop makes it easy to integrate pedals and processors without compromising tone. With additional conveniences like a global half-power switch and footswitchable modes, the Mark IIC+ HRG combines vintage authenticity with modern reliability.

Marine-Grade Baltic Birch Construction for Rugged Reliability

Handcrafted with a marine-grade Baltic birch cabinet and rugged steel chassis, the Mark IIC+ HRG is built to withstand life on the road. At just under 42 lb., it balances durability with portability, while classic MESA/Boogie craftsmanship ensures decades of reliable performance. Every detail?from the included slipcover to the thoughtful layout of rear-panel connections?reinforces its reputation as a professional?s amp. Whether you?re channeling the soaring leads of John Petrucci or exploring your own voice, the Mark IIC+ HRG delivers a timeless sound backed by uncompromising build quality.
