Alvarez Laureate Series LD60e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Natural

Description

For musicians pursuing greater nuance in their acoustic voice?whether refining fingerstyle technique, capturing studio takes or performing onstage?the Alvarez LD60e Laureate Series acoustic-electric guitar provides a responsive platform built for expressive playing. At its core is an all-solid tonewood construction, pairing a AAA North American Sitka spruce top with solid African mahogany back and sides for a voice that balances clarity, warmth and projection. Alvarez?s hand-finished FS6 bracing, carved from quartersawn Sitka spruce, enhances sensitivity and dynamic range, allowing subtle phrasing and stronger strumming to translate with equal authority. A smooth African mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and premium open-gear tuners reinforce confident playability, while the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system delivers a natural amplified response for stage and studio use. Together, these elements equate to a dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar that feels consistent, articulate and dependable across every playing environment.

Neck Profile and Ebony Fingerboard for Confident Movement

The hand-shaped African mahogany neck features a comfortable profile that supports both steady rhythm work and intricate melodic phrasing. Paired with an ebony fingerboard, it offers a firm, articulate response under the fingers, helping notes feel immediate and controlled. The satin neck finish reduces drag, encouraging fluid position shifts during extended practice or performance. Together, the neck carve and fretboard material provide a stable, repeatable feel that rewards consistency and clean technique.

All-Solid Tonewoods and FS6 Bracing

A solid AAA North American Sitka spruce top provides headroom and clarity, while solid African mahogany back and sides contribute warmth and midrange focus. Alvarez?s hand-finished FS6 bracing, carved from quartersawn Sitka, enhances sensitivity to touch and expands the dynamic range on the LD60e. This construction supports a low end that remains present without overpowering, and a high end that stays clear without harshness. The result is a balanced dreadnought voice that responds equally well to subtle fingerstyle and assertive strumming.

LR Baggs HiFi Electronics With Natural Amplified Tone

The LR Baggs HiFi pickup system captures the acoustic character of the guitar with clarity and definition. Soundhole-mounted controls allow quick, discreet adjustments during live performance or recording sessions, keeping tone shaping close at hand. The system translates dynamic shifts accurately, maintaining articulation and minimizing unwanted harshness when plugged in. Whether tracking direct or running through a PA, the amplified response remains consistent and predictable.

Refined Construction and Road-Ready Reliability

A thin gloss finish protects the body of the LD60e while allowing the solid woods to resonate freely. Carefully fitted binding and structural components reinforce durability through seasonal travel and frequent setup changes. Premium open-gear tuners provide smooth, stable tuning, and the overall build quality reflects the Laureate Series? focus on precision and longevity. The included durable gig bag ensures the instrument remains protected between sessions and performances.
