ESP Kirk Hammett KH-3 Spider 30th Anniversary Edition Electric Guitar Black

Description

The ESP KH-3 Spider electric guitar celebrates the 30th anniversary of Kirk Hammett’s legendary signature model first introduced in 1991. Recreating every nuance of the original instrument he wielded during Metallica’s rise to global stardom, the KH-3 Spider lets you tap into the same potent tone and playability that defined so many classic metal riffs and solos. Whether you’re a die-hard Metallica fan or simply crave a high-performance shred machine, this guitar delivers all the power and expressiveness you need.

Neck-Thru Design Optimized for Speed

The KH-3 Spider’s neck-thru-body construction ensures brilliant sustain and stability, even under the most aggressive playing. Its extra-thin, U neck profile is lightning-fast, allowing you to rip through complex phrases and blazing lead runs without restriction. Moving up the scalloped ebony fingerboard from frets 17?24 is effortless, enabling unhindered bending and vibrato without fretting out. From legato shredding to screaming dive bombs, you’ll command the entire fingerboard with confidence.

Hammett’s Signature EMG Pickups Unleash Fury

Loaded with a signature set of EMG Bonebreaker humbuckers, the KH-3 Spider captures the searing, high-gain voice that defined so much of Metallica’s most revered work. Kirk Hammett’s personal pickup preference, these active EMGs deliver thick, punchy midrange crunch and searing high-end slice that cuts right through the densest mixes. Their uncompromising attack and liquified sustain translate your every nuance with ruthless accuracy, whether you’re crushing heavy rhythms or scorching face-melting leads.

Iconic Spider Graphic Honors Metal History

No detail went overlooked in the quest to recreate Kirk Hammett’s original KH-3 guitar. The striking black finish and yellow-and-green spider graphic were designed by Metallica’s official artist Pushead to match the inlay work on the instrument Hammett wielded throughout the 1990s. With its skull-and-bones fingerboard markers, this guitar is as visually striking as it is sonically ferocious, proudly showcasing its pedigree as a bona fide icon of heavy metal history.

Signature Appointments Optimize Playability

In addition to its premium tonewood construction and distinctive aesthetics, the KH-3 Spider incorporates several appointments essential to Hammett’s playing style and preferences. The Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo system ensures rock-solid tuning stability for radical whammy theatrics. Hammett’s signature adorns the headstock. And with its included hardshell case, the KH-3 Spider is ready to travel wherever your next gig takes you.
