ESP LTD Kirk Hammett KH-3 Spider 30th Anniversary Edition Electric Guitar Black

Description

The ESP LTD Kirk Hammett KH-3 Spider 30th anniversary edition electric guitar is modeled after the Spider 3 guitar that was played throughout the ?90s on tours supporting Metallica’s 1991 The Black Album. ESP has crafted a striking, special-edition guitar in collaboration with Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett. The KH-3 Spider pays homage to Hammett’s favorite guitar with its familiar shape and sound, now updated with eye-catching aesthetics that Metallica fans will surely appreciate.

Menacing Looks Inspired by a Heavy Metal Icon

The KH-3 Spider’s black finish provides an ominous backdrop for its spiders/skulls inlays. Mirroring the inlay is a spider silk graphic that stretches across the alder body, finished in a metallic silver that catches the light. The 3-piece maple neck features an extra thin U profile for speed and comfort, topped by a 24-fret Macassar ebony fretboard.

EMG Pickups Deliver Aggressive Tones

The KH-3 Spider is loaded with EMG Bone Breaker pickups for a range of heavy tones, from rich and full to tight and cutting. A 3-way toggle switch lets you select the neck pickup, bridge pickup or both at once. Push-pull volume and tone controls give you additional tonal variety. This guitar is built for high-gain styles and handles everything from crunchy rhythm parts to searing leads.

High-Performance Parts for Flawless Playability

A Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking tremolo provides dive-bombing effects and tuning stability. Grover tuners, an extra thin U neck profile and extra jumbo frets make playing fast, complex riffs feel effortless. The alder body resonates with sustain and warmth. All parts are carefully selected by ESP to meet the demanding standards of professional musicians like Kirk Hammett.
