Fender Custom Shop Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Series Stratocaster NOS Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar Vintage White

Description

The Fender Custom Shop Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Stratocaster was designed in close collaboration with the legendary guitarist to reflect the modifications that shaped his distinctive neoclassical sound. The Seymour Duncan YJM Fury signature pickups provide a balanced and articulate tone that reinforces your technique. The scalloped maple fingerboard, modeled after Malmsteen’s original, gives you more control to bend and manipulate notes. Upgrades like a brass nut, staggered tuning machines and jumbo frets combine vintage-inspired style with modern playability.

Vintage Style Meets Modern Playability

The alder body and tinted maple neck have a vintage-inspired style with updates for playability. The “F”-stamped tuning machines, synchronized tremolo bridge and 3-ply pickguard give a retro look. The “Custom C”-shaped neck profile, 21 jumbo frets and 9.5″ fingerboard radius provide a fast, comfortable playing feel. The brass nut improves sustain and tuning stability for complex solos and chordal work. Overall, the fusion of vintage style and modern enhancements results in an instrument suited for a range of musical styles beyond neoclassical shred.

Custom Pickups for Power and Precision

The Seymour Duncan YJM Fury pickups were developed with Malmsteen to capture the tone of his modified Stratocaster. The single-coil pickups are voiced for their positions to create a responsive set that provides clarity and dynamics. The bridge pickup delivers a hot, aggressive tone suited for complex solos and shredding. The neck pickup gives a warm, clear tone for expressive lead lines and chordal accompaniment. Together, they provide a balanced tone with enough output for high-gain amps.

Scalloped Fingerboard for Enhanced Technique

The maple fingerboard is scalloped, like Malmsteen’s original, to give you more control and improve your finger positioning. The scalloped areas between frets allow your fingers to depress the strings at an angle, enabling easier string bending and vibrato. The enhanced finger-to-string contact results in improved clarity and improved articulation. The scalloped fingerboard, combined with the jumbo frets, gives you the freedom to develop advanced techniques and achieve the speed and expression that Malmsteen is known for.
