FT-5E Filter’Tron Pickups Deliver Legendary Gretsch Twang

The G5422TG Electromatic hollowbody is equipped with Gretsch FT-5E Filter’Tron humbucking pickups that provide the punchy midrange cut and clear highs Gretsch guitars are famous for. These pickups capture the era-specific tones of the 1950s and 1960s that produced rockabilly, surf rock, and other iconic sounds. Dial in a range of tones from full and round to sharp and cutting using the master volume and tone controls.

Bigsby B60 Vibrato Tailpiece Enables Expressive Pitch Control

A Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece gives players the ability to manipulate pitch for a range of sonic effects. The B60 can produce subtle shimmers or deep dives, allowing guitarists to emulate classic rockabilly and surf tones. Combined with the Filter’Tron pickups, the Bigsby vibrato helps the G5422TG hollowbody capture coveted vintage Gretsch sounds.

Trestle Block Bracing Improves Sustain and Reduces Feedback

The G5422TG Electromatic hollowbody features trestle block bracing, which increases contact between the laminated maple top and back. This construction improves note definition, enhances sustain, and helps prevent unwanted feedback. Trestle block bracing gives the G5422TG a robust and resonant voice that projects clearly.

Refined Style and Premium Appointments

With gold hardware, and bound f-holes, the G5422TG Electromatic hollowbody exudes vintage style. A 12″ radius laurel fretboard offers comfortable playability, while open-back tuners provide smooth and accurate tuning. GraphTech NuBone nut and an Adjusto-Matic bridge complete the premium appointments.
