Its maple semi-hollow body with an arched top and back and feedback-reducing mahogany center block delivers classic resonance with enhanced sustain, while the Modern Thin U mahogany neck offers fast, comfortable playability. Dual coil-split switches expand the tonal palette with single-coil clarity, and the Guild vibrato tailpiece adds smooth, expressive pitch control. With exclusive aesthetics, upgraded electronics and unmistakable Guild attitude, the Hot Rod edition stands out as a fresh, dynamic take on the Starfire tradition.

Arched Maple Construction With Feedback-Fighting Center Block

The Starfire I DC Hot Rod starts with a double-cutaway semi-hollow body crafted from maple, fitted with an arched maple top and back for a crisp attack, tight low end and lively resonance. A mahogany center block enhances sustain and dramatically reduces feedback at higher stage volumes?ideal for players who demand both semi-hollow warmth and solidbody stability. Finished in an elegant Kingswood Green polyurethane gloss, this exclusive version delivers head-turning style alongside its expressive tonal response. The Starfire pickguard, complete with custom Hot Rod pinstriping, reinforces its bold retro aesthetic.

Modern Thin U Mahogany Neck and Sleek Rosewood Fingerboard

A Modern Thin U mahogany set neck gives the Starfire I DC Hot Rod a fast, comfortable feel that suits everything from smooth rhythm playing to articulate lead work. Its Indian rosewood fingerboard?paired with a 24.75″ scale length and a 12.5″ radius?offers a familiar, expressive platform for bends, vibrato and nuanced dynamics. The result is a neck that feels immediately playable, encouraging fluid movement across all 22 frets.

High-Output HB-2+ Pickups With Coil-Split Versatility

At the heart of the Starfire I DC Hot Rod are a pair of HB-2+ humbuckers?high-output pickups equipped with Alnico V magnets for punchy mids, tight lows and articulate highs. These pickups excel at delivering classic semi-hollow warmth with added muscle for modern styles. Independent volume and tone controls for each pickup allow detailed shaping, while coil-split switches unlock single-coil textures ideal for funk, indie and jangly clean work. A three-way toggle provides quick access to neck, bridge or blended tones, giving the Hot Rod an impressive tonal range.

Tune-o-matic Bridge and Iconic Guild Vibrato Tailpiece

The Starfire I DC Hot Rod is equipped with a classic Guild hardware setup designed for smooth feel, stable tuning and expressive control. A Guild Tune-o-matic bridge offers precise intonation and solid transfer of resonance into the mahogany center block, while the nickel Guild vibrato tailpiece adds vintage-inspired shimmer and dynamic pitch expression without sacrificing tuning reliability. Premium Guild Vintage 18 open-gear tuners?featuring an 18:1 gear ratio?deliver accurate, consistent tuning response, and the composite nut ensures clean string travel and long-term performance. Finished in nickel to complement the exclusive Kingswood Green colorway, the hardware package balances retro style with modern functionality.
