Description
True to Ibanez’s longstanding reputation for concocting player-friendly innovations, the AAM380CE Advanced Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar features an unconventional design that yields impressive tone and playability. Completely reimagined from the ground up, the AAM380CE delivers unprecedented power and dynamic range in a sleek, ergonomic package designed for all-day playing comfort. With its thoughtfully contoured Advanced Auditorium body and specially engineered bracing, tapered headstock and neck, the AAM380CE sings with extraordinary richness, brightness and volume. Plus, with its dual pickup system, the Ibanez AAM380CE projects an especially expressive, nuanced acoustic tone that takes well to effects further down the signal chain.
Advanced Auditorium Body
The secret behind the AAM380CE’s commanding voice lies in its Advanced Auditorium body with a solid Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Slightly larger than a traditional auditorium shape, this expertly crafted “grand dreadnought” profile produces incredible volume and power across the entire tonal spectrum. The AAM380CE also owes its outstanding tonal response to Ibanez’s proprietary X-M scalloped bracing. Strategically configured to maximize vibration transfer from string to soundboard, the X-M braces create a clear and balanced sound with excellent dynamics. Plus, via the A.I.R.port player-facing soundhole, you get to enjoy all the tonal bliss the AAM380 projects.
Low Oval Neck
Designed with the guitarist’s comfort in mind, the AAM380CE features Ibanez’s ergonomically contoured Low Oval neck profile with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. The slimmed-down grip width of the African mahogany neck and smoothly rounded fingerboard edges facilitate easy, fatigue-free chord changes and single-note runs alike. A smooth satin finish enhances the neck’s speedy feel, while the Thermo Aged treatment ensures lasting stability and resonant sustain.
Scalloped Bridge Design With Advantage Pins
The AAM380CE’s scalloped Macassar ebony bridge lends even more resonance to your guitar, in addition to the benefit of adding more flexibility to adjusting your action than the conventional bridge. Thanks to Ibanez’s clever Advantage bridge pins, changing strings on the AAM380CE is frustration-free. A bulbous end provides an easy grip so pins slide in and out of the bridge smoothly. The pins also seat firmly in the bridge to maintain proper string height and intonation over time. With its intuitive bridge design, you can swap out strings confidently in quickly.
Dual-Pickup System
To complement its rich acoustic voice, the AAM380CE incorporates a dual-pickup system for amplifying your sound with incredible realism. The undersaddle pickup captures the top’s vibrant complexity, while the soundhole-mounted contact pickup adds percussive attack and string articulation. Onboard volume controls let you dial in the perfect blend. Thanks to its excellent dynamics and sensitivity, the AAM380CE pickup system preserves the nuances of your playing technique through your amp. Added effects in your signal chain like reverb and chorus sound lush and immersive. Plug in the AAM380CE and your acoustic tone will shine even in loud band scenarios.
With its uniquely powerful acoustic voicing and versatile amplified performance, the Ibanez AAM380CE Advanced Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar is ideal for guitarists who need a dynamic, expressive acoustic that can keep up on stage or in the studio. The AAM380CE’s ergonomic body rewards you with playing comfort, allowing you to play for longer without fatigue. Step into your local Guitar Center and see for yourself why Ibanez calls this a fully reimagined acoustic experience.
