Ibanez RG Standard RG470DXW Electric Guitar – Wine Red Frozen Matte

Description

The Ibanez RG470DXW electric guitar delivers the fast feel and aggressive response the RG line is known for, wrapped in a straightforward, gig-ready design. Built with a meranti body, it produces a scooped midrange with a sweet, resonant character that works well for high-gain tones and articulate rhythm playing. A bolt-on Wizard III maple neck keeps the profile thin and quick, paired with a 25.5″ scale length and a jatoba fingerboard fitted with 24 jumbo frets for a full two-octave range. Quantum HSH pickups handle electronics through a simple 1-volume, 1-tone layout and a 5-way selector, making the RG470DXW a strong choice for modern rock and metal players who rely on speed, clarity, and control.

Wizard III Neck Tuned for Fast Playing

The Wizard III neck is designed to feel flat, fast, and easy to navigate, especially during quick position shifts and technical passages. Its maple construction keeps the neck sturdy while the satin polyurethane finish reduces friction, helping your hand move smoothly across the fretboard. The two-octave layout supports extended solos and modern playing styles without feeling cramped.

Jatoba Fingerboard With Jumbo Frets

The jatoba fingerboard adds a focused midrange with a crisp top end that complements the meranti body well. 24 jumbo frets provide a smooth, forgiving feel for bends, vibrato, and fast single-note runs. Sharktooth inlays give the guitar its classic RG look while keeping fretboard navigation clear.

Quantum Pickups With Fast Tracking and Ceramic Power

The Quantum HSH pickup set is designed to keep up with fast playing and high-gain tones. The ceramic humbuckers deliver a tight low end with strong attack and quick response, helping fast riffs and palm-muted passages stay defined. A single-coil pickup in the middle position adds clarity and separation for cleaner tones and blended settings. Together, the set maintains note definition across the frequency range, even during complex passages or aggressive picking.

Edge-Zero II Tremolo Stability

The Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge features a low-profile design that stays comfortable under the picking hand. Its stud lock function helps maintain tuning stability during dive bombs, vibrato work, and aggressive playing. This setup allows expressive tremolo use without sacrificing reliability.

A Modern RG Built to Be Played Hard

The RG Standard lineup is built for players who want classic RG performance in a practical, accessible package. Finished in Wine Red Frozen Matte with black hardware, the RG470DXW is well suited for rehearsals, live shows, and recording sessions where speed and consistency matter. It?s a dependable electric guitar for players who push their technique and need an instrument that can keep up.
