Description

The LR Baggs AEG-1 Sitka Spruce Dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar is the culmination of 50 years of innovation in acoustic amplification and craftsmanship. Designed by master luthier Lloyd Baggs, the AEG-1 combines traditional acoustic character with cutting-edge technology to create a guitar that shines both on stage and at home. With its resonant body, slim design and advanced electronics, this guitar delivers pristine tone and versatility for any performance setting.

Sitka Spruce Top for Balanced, Articulate Tone
The AEG-1 features a solid Sitka spruce top, prized for its clarity, projection and balanced tone. Paired with Indian rosewood back and sides, the AEG-1 produces rich lows, articulate mids and sparkling highs, perfect for a wide range of playing styles. The scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance, allowing the guitar’s top to vibrate freely for a full-bodied acoustic sound that translates beautifully to live and amplified settings.

Advanced HiFi Duet Electronics for Superior Amplification
Equipped with the custom LR Baggs HiFi Duet system, the AEG-1 Sitka Spruce delivers professional-grade sound in any environment. The system combines HiFi Bridge Plate Pickups with the studio-quality Silo Microphone to capture the full range of the guitar’s tone, from its warm lows to its clear highs. Whether you’re playing in a small venue or a large concert hall, the HiFi Duet system ensures your guitar sounds as natural and dynamic as it does acoustically.

Slim, Comfortable Design With Precision Playability
The AEG-1 is designed with comfort in mind, featuring a slim C neck profile made from African mahogany. The 16″ radius Indian rosewood fingerboard allows for smooth playability, while the 25.625″ scale length ensures precise intonation. The lightweight, thin acoustic cutaway body makes this guitar perfect for long playing sessions and live performances, offering easy access to the higher frets for solos and intricate chord work.

Built for Versatility on Stage and at Home
The AEG-1 Sitka Spruce excels in both live and acoustic settings, thanks to its advanced amplification system and resonant acoustic body. Whether you’re performing on stage, recording in the studio or playing in the comfort of your living room, this guitar adapts effortlessly to any environment. The stunning sunburst gloss finish adds a touch of elegance, while the custom softshell case ensures your guitar is protected during transport.
