Premium Tonewoods and Golden Era Bracing for a Timeless Sound

Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this Martin acoustic guitar delivers the warm, resonant tone that Martin is known for. The spruce top delivers crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range, while the rosewood back and sides provide warmth, resonance, and balanced projection. The addition of Sitka spruce Golden Era (GE) bracing, inspired by Martin’s vintage models, enhances the guitar’s sustain and gives it a more open, “breathy” tone that’s perfect for fingerstyle and a variety of musical styles.

Enhanced Playability With a Modern Neck and Comfortable Features

The Martin OM-28 Standard Orchestra Model features a GE Modified Low Oval neck profile that combines the popular modified low oval shape with a vintage-inspired feel. This neck is designed for comfort and playability with a High-Performance taper that makes fretting effortless. The ebony fingerboard has been refined with a thinner profile, gently beveled comfort edges and optimized string spacing at the nut for an even more comfortable playing experience. The new GE modern belly bridge also features smoother, more comfortable corners, making this guitar a joy to play for hours on end.

Hand-Crafted Quality and Vintage Appointments

The OM-28 acoustic guitar is built with the same handcrafted quality that Martin has been known for since 1833. The hand-fit dovetail neck joint ensures a strong and resonant connection between the neck and body, maximizing sustain and tonal transfer. This guitar is adorned with vintage-inspired appointments, including a long diamond neck transition, a nut cut on an angle, a sleek vintage-style heel and bone bridge pins. These details not only enhance the guitar’s aesthetic appeal, but also contribute to its classic tone and feel.
