Martin Special D-X2E Spruce-Rosewood HPL Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Natural

Part of their X Series, this Martin Special D-X2E spruce-rosewood HPL acoustic-electric guitar gives you the chance to experience the legendary Martin tone and playability. This dreadnought-style guitar features a solid spruce top and durable high-pressure laminate back and sides that produce a balanced, articulate tone perfect for any playing style.

Solid Spruce Top Provides Crisp, Bell-like Highs

The solid spruce top of the D-X2E provides crisp highs and clear articulation, allowing each note to ring out with a bell-like chime. Spruce is a lightweight, resonant wood that creates an open and airy tone with impressive projection, so your music reaches the back of the room.

High-Pressure Laminate Back and Sides Add Depth and Warmth

The high-pressure laminate back and sides contribute depth, warmth and a solid low end to balance the spruce top. This eco-friendly material provides the appearance of rosewood with enhanced durability for longevity. Together with the spruce top, they generate the characteristic Martin tone that works equally well for strumming chords, fingerpicking or playing lead lines.

Slim, Comfortable Neck and 12″ Radius Fingerboard for Easy Playability

The select mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard of the D-X2E are designed for fast, comfortable playability across all frets. The slim, oval-shaped neck profile and 12″ radius fingerboard allow chords and single notes to ring out clearly with little effort. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned guitarist, you’ll find this guitar a responsive and enjoyable instrument to play.

Onboard Martin E-1 Electronics for Amplified Performance

The D-X2E comes equipped with Martin E-1 electronics, giving you the ability to plug in for live shows or recording. The E-1 pickup and preamp system accurately captures the guitar’s acoustic tone and allows you to adjust both volume and tone to suit the venue or mix. The onboard tuner lets you quickly tune up for optimum sound. Simply connect to an amplifier, mixing board or interface, and you’re ready to share your music with others.
