This solidbody electric guitar features a maple top and basswood body with DiMarzio humbucking pickups for a balanced sound across the tonal spectrum. The roasted maple neck has a smooth finish and C-shaped profile that feels familiar in your hands. 22 stainless steel frets provide a low, fast action so you can play with precision and speed. With a variety of exciting finishes to choose from, the Axis complements your style while inspiring your creativity.

Flame Maple Top Adds Visual Depth

The figured flame maple top gives the Axis an attractive wood grain pattern with swirling hues of amber and scarlet. The arched top has an elegant sculpted shape that is mirrored by the cutaway lower bout, providing you full access to the upper frets. The natural maple finish enhances the beauty of the wood and gives a smooth feel beneath your forearm.

Roasted Maple Neck Promotes Speed and Accuracy

The roasted maple neck provides stability and a fast playing surface. The roasting process hardens the maple, reducing humidity-related warping while giving it a caramel hue. The C-shaped profile fills your hand with an ideal combination of comfort and dexterity. Medium stainless steel frets are highly durable and intonate well, allowing you to execute hammer-ons, pull-offs and bends with precision. The Axis neck inspires confidence for complex lead work at any tempo.

Premium Pickups Produce a Dynamic Range of Tones

The Axis comes equipped with a pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups that provide clarity and punch. The DiMarzios are versatile pickups offering a wide range of tones from bright and crisp to warm and rounded. They handle high gain well while still providing definition on clean settings. The pickup placement and basswood body also enhance sustain and resonance. You can dial in tones for rock, blues, jazz and more with the Axis.
