Takamine GB-7C Garth Brooks Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar –

Description

Few country artists have amassed a career as decorated as Garth Brooks. Fittingly, few acoustic-electric guitars are as instantly recognizable or as closely tied to an artist?s stage identity as the Takamine GB-7C Garth Brooks signature acoustic-electric guitar. Developed in close collaboration with the multiple Grammy winner, this model breaks with tradition through its unmistakable guitar-shaped soundhole, a design choice born from the idea that a cutaway was once unconventional too. Named to incorporate Garth?s favorite number, the GB-7C pairs that bold visual statement with a solid cedar top for quick response and warmth, plus solid rosewood back and rosewood sides for depth, sustain and projection that hold together at full performance volume. Matched with Takamine?s trusted CT-4BII preamp system, the GB-7C is built to project clearly, look unforgettable and help you earn plenty of “Friends in Low Places.”

Guitar-Shaped Soundhole Defines a Signature Presence

The GB-7C?s guitar-shaped soundhole is more than visual identity. By altering how the top vibrates, this unconventional design helps focus the midrange and maintain clarity in amplified settings, allowing the guitar to cut through a dense band mix. Reinforced internal bracing supports the modified soundboard while preserving responsiveness, keeping the instrument consistent whether played with aggressive strumming or a lighter touch.

Cedar and Rosewood Construction Balances Warmth and Projection

A solid cedar top delivers fast response and natural warmth, making the GB-7C highly expressive across a wide dynamic range. Solid rosewood back and rosewood sides add sustain, depth and low-end authority, helping the guitar retain definition at high stage volumes. Together, this tonewood pairing produces a rich, harmonically complex voice designed to perform confidently in live environments.

CT-4BII Preamp Supports Confident Stage Control

Takamine?s CT-4BII onboard preamp places volume, bass, mid and treble controls directly on the upper bout, along with a built-in tuner for efficient setups. Designed with touring in mind, the system helps manage feedback and maintain tonal consistency from venue to venue, letting you focus on performance rather than sound reinforcement.

Built for Touring?With Protection Included

A mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide stability and smooth playability across long sets, supporting the demands of nightly performance. The included SH200A Pro Semi-Hard Case protects the guitar during constant travel, combining a lightweight plywood and hard-foam shell with a ballistic nylon exterior and plush acrylic interior to reduce impact transfer without unnecessary bulk.

A Signature Instrument Shaped by Real Touring Demands

The Takamine GB-7C stands apart as an acoustic-electric guitar developed to meet the demands of Garth Brooks? large-scale tours. Its distinctive soundhole design, cedar-and-rosewood construction and road-proven electronics reflect decades of touring experience rather than trend-driven design. For players who need unmistakable visual identity, authoritative stage tone and dependable reliability, the GB-7C Garth Brooks signature delivers an instrument shaped to perform when it matters most.
