Figured AA-Grade Hawaiian Koa for Inspiring Tone

Every aspect of this Catch Custom guitar is designed to highlight the natural beauty and sonic character of Hawaiian koa. The top, back and sides are constructed from AA-grade figured koa, showcasing mesmerizing grain patterns and a deep, glowing finish. Tonally, koa delivers a balanced midrange with a sparkling top end and a sweetness that develops with time. Whether you’re fingerpicking delicate melodies or strumming with authority, this precision-crafted guitar responds with remarkable articulation and warmth.

V-Class Bracing: Superior Volume, Sustain and Intonation

At the heart of this instrument’s dynamic sound is Taylor’s V-Class bracing, a groundbreaking innovation that elevates tonal performance. By optimizing the response of the Hawaiian koa body, this bracing design delivers greater volume, longer sustain and improved intonation across the fretboard. Unlike traditional X-bracing, V-Class bracing ensures purer notes with fewer harmonic inconsistencies, resulting in chords that resonate with exceptional clarity. This design also enhances projection, allowing the guitar’s natural voice to fill the room with richness and balance. The result is an instrument that produces articulate tones and a musical experience that inspires creativity with every strum.

Premium Appointments for Comfort and Elegance

Designed with both aesthetics and playability in mind, the Taylor Custom All Figured AA Grade Hawaiian Koa Grand Auditorium features a beveled ebony armrest for supreme comfort, allowing for extended playing sessions without strain. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from genuine West African ebony, providing a smooth feel and lasting durability, while the black Tusq nut and Micarta saddle ensure excellent sustain and intonation. Exquisite details such as a mother-of-pearl and ebony rosette, mother-of-pearl fretboard inlays and an elegant koa peghead veneer make this instrument a true work of art.

ES2 Electronics With TaylorSense

When it’s time to plug in, Taylor’s Expression System 2 (ES2) delivers a dynamic, natural acoustic tone with its behind-the-saddle transducer design. The proprietary preamp includes volume, bass and treble controls for effortless sound shaping, whether your on stage, in the studio or at the practice space. TaylorSense adds an extra layer of protection, monitoring humidity, temperature and any physical impacts to help maintain your guitar’s longevity. No matter the setting, this Catch Custom Grand Auditorium ensures flawless amplified performance.
