Yamaha CHR12 12″ 2-Way Passive Speaker

Description

The Yamaha CHR12 is a high-performance 2-way passive speaker designed for musicians and audio professionals. With a 12″ woofer and 1.4″ titanium compression driver, the CHR12 delivers a powerful low end with clear, articulate highs. Its rotating 60?x90? horn provides broad coverage and lets you aim the sound where you need it. Built from durable plywood, the CHR12 is rugged enough for live sound yet compact enough for installation in venues, theaters and houses of worship.

Robust Drivers Reproduce a Wide Frequency Range

The CHR12’s 12″ woofer pumps out deep bass with minimal distortion so you can feel the impact of every kick drum and bassline. The 1.4″ precision compression driver renders vocals, horns and cymbals with stunning resolution. Yamaha designed the woofer and compression driver to work together seamlessly across the CHR12’s 54Hz?20kHz frequency range, giving you a balanced, cohesive sound from lows to highs.

Coverage and Placement Options for Any Application

With its rotating 60?x90? horn, the CHR12 gives you flexibility in coverage and aiming. Point the horn forward for broad coverage of a room or audience or rotate it to focus the sound on a specific area. The CHR12 also provides mounting points for eyebolts so you can suspend it from ceilings or truss. For floor use, the CHR12 has a 35 mm pole socket with 0? and 7? tilt angles. However you deploy it, the CHR12 ensures your sound reaches your audience with clarity and power.

Roadworthy Construction for Reliable Performance

Yamaha built the CHR12 to handle the rigors of live shows, permanent installations and frequent transport. Its plywood enclosure is coated in durable polyurea finish that protects against scratches and scuffs. The woofer’s high-compliance suspension and vented pole piece ensure reliable, distortion-free low end at high volumes. All components in the CHR12 are carefully selected for durability and longevity. The result is a speaker you can depend on to reproduce your sound night after night, show after show.
