This instrument embodies vintage tone and modern precision.

Custom Pickup and Preamp for Vintage Warmth

The custom pickup on this bass is meticulously crafted to late ’70s specifications, featuring shorter pole pieces that produce a balanced and authentic tone. When paired with the preamp, this setup delivers the unmistakable warmth and character of Palladino’s original aged circuit. The preamp is voiced to enhance the nuanced low-end thump and midrange clarity that made the StingRay a studio and stage icon. Whether you’re dialing in subtle dynamics or bold grooves, this combination ensures every note is rich and resonant.

Asymmetrical Neck Carve for Unmatched Comfort

The asymmetrical neck design on this instrument is a direct replication of Pino Palladino’s original 1979 StingRay. With a profile that’s thicker on the bass side and slimmer on the treble side, this neck offers a natural, ergonomic feel that reduces fatigue during extended sessions. Paired with the dark-tinted maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the smooth finish ensures effortless transitions across the fretboard. This precise design enhances playability, making it ideal for expressive performances and intricate techniques.

Premium Materials for Superior Tone and Durability

From its poplar body to its brass saddles, every element of this bass has been carefully selected for optimal performance. The Graph Tech NuBone nut enhances string stability, while the brass saddles contribute to a punchy, articulate sound. The rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of warmth, complementing the bright response of the maple neck. Finished in a durable ’79 Burst gloss, this bass not only delivers exceptional tone but is built to withstand years of rigorous play.
