This premium electric authentically recreates the classic combination of tonewoods and pickups that shaped the signature Fender sound in 1963. Featuring a solid mahogany body and Pure Vintage ’63 Telecaster single-coil pickups, the American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster delivers the quintessential bright and twangy tone that defined early rock and roll.

Pure Vintage Pickups Provide Legendary Tone

The American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster is equipped with Pure Vintage ’63 Telecaster single-coil pickups that provide the crisp, articulate sound this model is known for. These pickups are wound to precise 1963 specifications, allowing you to achieve tones from spanky cleans to snarling overdrive. A three-way pickup selector switch lets you choose from the bridge pickup, neck pickup or both pickups together.

Classic Specs and Craftsmanship

This guitar features period-correct appointments like knurled flat-top knobs, a three-barrel bridge and vintage-style tuning machines. Its comfortably contoured, C-shaped maple neck has a rosewood fretboard with 21 vintage-tall frets and a 7.25″ radius. A thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish offers a smooth playing feel and allows the tonewoods to resonate freely.

Versatile and Playable

While the American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster pays tribute to Fender’s storied past, it is a thoroughly modern, gig-ready guitar. Its lightweight mahogany body and slim, fast neck make this guitar comfortable for any playing situation. The Telecaster bridge pickup’s focused tone cuts through any mix, while the neck pickup adds warmth and depth for rhythm playing.
