Description
The Gibson Pre-War SJ-200 Rosewood Left handed acoustic guitar is a meticulously crafted recreation of Gibson’s iconic 1930s flagship model, now available for left handed players. This stunning guitar blends vintage aesthetics with modern playability, delivering a warm, balanced tone and exceptional comfort.
Thermally Aged Adirondack Red Spruce Top ? Vintage Tone and Resonance
The SJ-200 Rosewood features a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top, specially treated to reproduce the rich, complex tones of a vintage instrument. This aging process results in a lighter and more responsive top that delivers a warm, balanced sound with shimmering highs, robust midrange, and deep bass. Paired with traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing and hot hide glue construction, the spruce top offers exceptional projection and sustain.
Premium Rosewood Back and Sides ? Warmth and Dynamic Range
The rosewood back and sides provide a solid tonal foundation for the spruce top, enhancing its warmth, resonance, and dynamic range. Rosewood is prized for its ability to produce a balanced and expressive sound, making it an ideal choice for acoustic guitars. On the SJ-200 Rosewood, the rosewood back and sides contribute to an instrument with exceptional depth, clarity, and sustain.
Slim Mahogany Neck and Bound Ebony Fretboard ? Effortless Playability
The SJ-200 Rosewood features a slim mahogany neck and a bound ebony fretboard, providing a fast and comfortable playing surface for both intricate solos and complex chords. The ebony fretboard, known for its smooth feel and bright tonal characteristics, enhances the guitar’s articulation and responsiveness. The slim neck profile ensures effortless playability, making this guitar a joy to play for hours on end.
Authentic 1930s Styling ? A Timeless Classic
Every detail of the SJ-200 Rosewood’s design pays homage to Gibson acoustics of the 1930s. The mother-of-pearl graduated crown inlays, gold Grover Imperial tuners, and classic pickguard evoke a sense of vintage elegance. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish, hot hide glue construction, and period-correct script logo further enhance the guitar’s authentic pre-war aesthetic.
