Ibanez Alpha A527 Multi-Scale 7-String Electric Guitar – Nebula Shift

Description

Hailing from Ibanez?s progressive Alpha Series, the Alpha A527 is a modern 7-string electric guitar built for players who prioritize comfort, control and consistency across extended-range performance. Its American basswood body provides a balanced neutral tonal foundation, while the bolt-on 5-piece maple and walnut Parallel Wizard AS neck delivers stability, clarity and attack across all seven strings. A 27.2″?25.5″ multi-scale layout helps maintain consistent string tension from low to high, and the ebony fingerboard carries 24 jumbo stainless steel frets on a 15.75″ radius for clean articulation and confident execution. Outfitted with Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers and a streamlined control set that includes a Fluence voicing switch, the result is an extended-range guitar that feels deliberate and controlled, setting the stage for the Alpha A527?s player-focused neck design.

A Consistent Neck Feel Across All Seven Strings

The Parallel Wizard AS neck on this Ibanez electric guitar is designed with a uniform .83″ thickness at both the 1st and 12th frets, creating a consistent feel along the entire neck. Its asymmetric profile adds a slightly rounder contour on the bass side, which helps when navigating the lower strings during extended-range playing. Built from maple and walnut and finished in your choice of an Iron Pewter or Nebula Shift satin polyurethane finish, the bolt-on neck works closely with the multi-scale design to keep the low end tight while maintaining comfort on the higher strings.

Ebony Fingerboard Built for Speed and Clarity

The ebony fingerboard on the Ibanez A527 electric guitar provides quick response with tight lows and a clear, focused top end. 24 jumbo stainless steel frets offer smooth playability and long-term resistance to wear, supporting clean articulation for chords and single-note lines. A 15.75″ radius keeps the feel controlled and even, while mother-of-pearl step offset dot inlays and luminescent side dots improve visibility during low-light performances.

Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups With Voicing Control

This Ibanez electric guitar pairs a Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico 8 humbucker in the neck position with a Fluence Modern Ceramic 8 humbucker at the bridge. Together, they deliver strong output with low noise across the full frequency range expected from a 7-string electric guitar. The Fluence voicing switch allows you to move between a high-output modern voice and a cleaner more fluid tone, expanding tonal flexibility without complicating the control layout.

Mono-rail Hardware for Defined String Response

The Mono-rail G2 bridge mounts each string independently, improving note separation and reducing unwanted vibration transfer across the body of the Ibanez A527 electric guitar. String spacing measures approximately .43″, supporting precise right-hand control. The bridge supports string-through-body and top-loading setups, while Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines help maintain tuning stability and make string changes quicker and more efficient.

Alpha Series: A Contemporary Platform for Guitarists

The Ibanez Alpha Series is designed for modern guitarists who demand ergonomic comfort and consistent performance during extended playing sessions. On the Alpha A527, an ergonomic elbow contour improves picking-arm stability, while the gloss polyurethane finish protects the American basswood body from regular wear. Mono-rail hardware and locking tuners reinforce tuning stability and string definition, supporting precision-focused styles and extended-range techniques. Supplied with an Ibanez gig bag, multi tool and hex wrench, the Alpha A527 is a dependable contemporary instrument built for progressive playing, studio work and modern guitar applications where reliability and feel are essential.
