Ibanez RG Prestige RGR762AHBF 7-String Electric Guitar – Weathered Black

Description

The Ibanez RGR762AHBF 7-string electric guitar is built for players who rely on accuracy, speed, and consistency across seven strings. Made in Japan as part of Ibanez?s Prestige line, this model features an ash body with a satin polyester Weathered Black finish that delivers a bright, resonant response with strong sustain. A bolt-on Wizard-7 neck constructed from a 5-piece maple and wenge layout keeps the profile thin and fast, while a bound rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets provides a smooth, controlled feel across the full range of the instrument. DiMarzio PAF 7 humbuckers handle electronics through a simple 1-volume, 1-tone layout and a 5-way selector, giving the RGR762AHBF the flexibility to move easily between heavy rhythm work and articulate lead playing.

Wizard-7 Neck Built for Speed and Control

The Wizard-7 neck is designed to stay out of the way, offering a flat, fast profile that supports technical playing and wide stretches across seven strings. Its multi-piece maple and wenge construction adds strength and stability, while Prestige fret edge treatment keeps the neck feeling smooth and comfortable during long sessions. Whether you?re playing rapid single-note runs or complex chord shapes, the feel remains consistent and precise.

Rosewood Fingerboard With Jumbo Frets

The bound rosewood fingerboard delivers a focused midrange that helps notes stay defined under higher gain. 24 jumbo frets make bending and vibrato feel easy and controlled, especially when navigating the extended range of a 7-string layout. The overall response stays balanced, supporting both tight rhythm playing and fluid lead lines.

DiMarzio PAF 7 Pickups With Wide Dynamic Range

A pair of DiMarzio PAF 7 humbuckers provide a tonal balance that?s clean and open on the low strings while remaining warm and rounded on the higher register. This pickup set responds well to picking dynamics and retains clarity when pushed, making it suitable for modern metal, progressive styles, and more nuanced playing. The 5-way selector offers multiple voicings without complicating the control layout.

Gibraltar Standard III Bridge and Locking Hardware

The Gibraltar Standard III bridge features a redesigned baseplate and saddles that improve playing comfort while ensuring efficient string vibration transfer. Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines help maintain tuning stability and speed up string changes, keeping the guitar reliable for rehearsals, recording, and live performance.

A Prestige 7-String Built to Perform

The RG Prestige line is designed for players who expect their instrument to perform consistently under demanding conditions. Supplied with an Ibanez hardshell case, the RGR762AHBF 7-string is well suited for metal and progressive players who need clarity, speed, and control across an extended range. It all equates to a focused, professional-grade 7-string built to keep up with serious playing.
