Martin D-18E Modern Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Natural

Description

The Martin D-18E Modern Deluxe dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar is a premium instrument that blends the rich, complex tone of a traditional D-18 dreadnought with cutting-edge enhancements for flawless plugged-in performance. Handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, using time-honored techniques like a solid Sitka spruce Vintage Tone System top, dovetail neck joint and natural protein glue, the D-18E Modern Deluxe produces a bold, balanced acoustic sound with nuanced overtones. The D-18E Modern Deluxe is equipped with stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners and a unique 1930s-style script logo for a touch of vintage flair.

Unparalleled Versatility and Control

The D-18E Modern Deluxe features the Fishman Aura VT Enhance pickup system for natural-sounding amplification with maximum tonal flexibility. This intuitive system uses Aura imaging technology to capture the signature tone of a vintage Martin dreadnought. You can then shape your sound with adjustable EQ, reverb and anti-feedback controls. Whether performing on stage or recording in the studio, the D-18E Modern Deluxe provides a level of nuance and versatility unmatched by other acoustic-electrics.

Ultramodern Components, Timeless Results

While the D-18E Modern Deluxe is steeped in tradition, it also incorporates contemporary components to boost performance without altering tone. These include a truss rod made of titanium, an ultralight and durable metal, as well as Liquidmetal bridge pins and a carbon fiber bridge plate. Together, these modern parts increase volume and sustain without adding excess weight. The end result is a guitar that plays and sounds like an heirloom instrument, even as it pushes the boundaries of acoustic technology.

Premium Appointments and Playability

In addition to its acoustic and electronic innovations, the D-18E Modern Deluxe boasts premium cosmetic details like East Indian rosewood binding, red dot inlays in the ebony fretboard and a mother-of-pearl headstock logo. An asymmetrical neck profile provides comfortable playability up and down the fingerboard. Finished with a hand-rubbed lacquer and strung with Martin Lifespan 2.0 strings, the D-18E Modern Deluxe looks, plays and sounds like the ultimate modern acoustic guitar.
