Reverend Greg Koch Gristlemaster Electric Guitar Blucifer

Description

The Reverend Greg Koch Gristlemaster electric guitar brings together vintage tone and playability with the innovation of Fishman’s Greg Koch Signature Gristle-Tone pickups. Based on a classic T-style semi-hollow body, Reverend enlarged it and added a chamber under the pickguard for improved resonance and sustain. The guitar’s roasted maple neck contributes to smooth playability, while the Wilkinson Classic bridge with staggered brass saddles keeps the tone vintage-inspired. With you get two distinct hum-free voicings from the custom Fishman pickups, as well as onboard tone controls for versatility.

Resonant T-Style Body With Thoughtful Chambering

While the Gristlemaster echoes classic T-style guitars, Reverend made some smart tweaks. The body is slightly larger for balanced tone and playing comfort. Under the pickguard sits a chambered area that allows the guitar to resonate freely. The result is singing sustain, especially when you dig into those hum-canceling Gristle-Tone pickups. Three stylish soundholes also let the guitar breathe. The semi-hollow design means easy feedback control at higher volumes. All told, the Gristlemaster body looks, feels and sounds fantastic.

Roasted Maple Neck Provides Smooth, Inviting Playability

The Gristlemaster’s roasted maple neck contributes to its overall vintage vibe and playability. The roasting process caramelizes the wood, adding stability and allowing for a smoother feel. Bend notes with ease across the comfortable 12″ radius fingerboard. The neck profile is a medium oval shape that sits nicely in your hand. Jumbo frets also make it easy to play those buttery bends. Whether you’re a vintage tone purist or more modern rock player, you’ll appreciate how comfortably the Gristlemaster plays.

Dial In Your Tone With Fishman Greg Koch Signature Pickups

The heart of the Gristlemaster’s flexible sound comes from its Fishman Greg Koch Signature Gristle-Tone pickups. These active hum-free pickups offer two different voicings to suit your playing style and the song. Engage both pickups together in parallel mode for a bold, thick tone perfect for hard-hitting blues/rock riffs. Or switch to series mode for a more traditional vintage sound with enhanced note separation. The pickups’ active preamp design also keeps your sound clear even at high gain levels. Tweak the volume and tone knobs to dial in just the right amount of punch and bite.

Vintage-Style Bridge Design With Modern Intonation

The Wilkinson Classic bridge features a vintage-looking steel baseplate with three brass saddles, but staggered saddle positions allow for precise intonation across all six strings. Combined with its Tune-o-matic style, you get rock-solid tuning stability and excellent transfer of string vibration. The brass material also lends a certain tonal character to your sound. It all adds up to great playability while still evoking classic guitar designs. The Gristlemaster gives you that familiar feel you want, supported by smart modern engineering.
