Developed with Rupert Neve, the Reflectone pickups produce clear, articulate tones. The slim C-shape maple neck provides smooth playability, aided by a rosewood fingerboard, while the 2-point tremolo bridge enables expressive, dynamic technique. Locking tuners keep the PACS+12 in tune through dynamic performances.

Alder Body Resonates Nicely With Great Acoustic Properties

Alder is prized as an electric guitar body wood for its balanced resonance and clear, full-bodied tone. The PACS+12’s alder body bolsters its acoustic properties and helps it sing with rich sustain. Yamaha leverages their Acoustic Design technology to ensure the PACS+12 is well balanced across the tonal spectrum. You’ll love feeling the body vibrate against you as you dig into the strings. The PACS+12 is also lightweight enough for comfortable playing over extended periods. Its smooth contoured edges make it feel great when strapped on.

Slim, Comfortable C-Shape Maple Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard for Smooth Playability

The PACS+12’s slim C-shaped maple neck provides hours of playing comfort, allowing you to explore the fingerboard and try new techniques without fatigue. Its smooth satin finish glides easily in your hand. Combined with the rosewood fingerboard and its medium stainless steel frets, you’ll find fast runs and string bending to be smooth and effortless. The neck joint allows excellent upper fret access for venturing into soloing territory. Whether you’re a developing player looking for a comfortable guitar to learn on or a seasoned guitarist seeking reliability on stage, the PACS+12’s neck is a true asset.

Versatile HSS Pickup Configuration With 5-Way Selector and Coil-Split Capabilities for a Wide Range of Tones

The HSS pickup layout of the PACS+12 gives you the full spectrum of tone-shaping potential. With a Reflectone humbucker in the neck position, Reflectone single coil in the middle and Reflectone single coil in the bridge position, you’ve got power and articulation readily available. The 5-way pickup selector lets you tap into the humbucker alone, outer single coils alone, humbucker and middle single coil or middle and bridge single coils together. When you engage the coil-split feature, even more tonal options open up by turning the humbucker into a single coil-esque output. Dial in everything from warm, rounded lead tones to snappy funk rhythms and focused rock riffing.

Clear, Articulate Reflectone Pickups Designed in Collaboration With Rupert Neve

The Reflectone pickups were thoughtfully designed by Yamaha in conjunction with the legendary Rupert Neve. Neve is revered for his contributions to recording console technology and he brings that expertise in clarity and nuance to the PACS+12’s pickups. The Reflectone humbucker has tight lows, airy highs and focused mids for excellent note separation even when playing complex chords. The Reflectone single coils have presence and detail that cuts through a mix nicely. Their balanced EQ response and low noise floor make the PACS+12’s pickups extremely versatile.

2-Point Tremolo Bridge Provides Expressive, Dynamic Technique

A 2-point tremolo bridge enables you to infuse character and expression into your playing that solid bridges just can’t match. The PACS+12’s tremolo is extremely responsive, allowing you to manipulate pitch for warbling vibrato, emotive dive bombs, flutter effects and more. The bridge stays in tune well, even with aggressive use of the whammy bar. Add some movement and energy to your solos and riffs with the PACS+12’s smooth, stable tremolo action.

Locking Tuners Keep the PACS+12 In Tune

Nothing throws off your performance like a guitar slipping out of tune mid-song. The PACS+12 comes equipped with Gotoh locking tuners to ensure rock-solid tuning stability, even during heavy tremolo use. They prevent the strings from loosening at the post, allowing you to play with confidence knowing your tuning will hold up. The tuners are also highly accurate, making restringing and maintenance a breeze.
