JBL JRX218S 18″ Passive Compact Subwoofer

Description

The JBL JRX218S passive PA subwoofer delivers professional-caliber bass at an unbeatable price. Engineered to push the limits of affordability without sacrificing power or precision, this 18″ compact subwoofer is ideal for extending the low-frequency range of full-range live sound and playback systems. JBL’s expert designers scrutinized every component to maximize performance and value, retaining only the essentials and reimagining the rest. The result is a subwoofer that punches far above its weight class.

Massive 18″ Woofer for Chest-Thumping Bass

At the heart of the JRX218S is a formidable 18″ woofer with a cast-aluminum frame and 3″ voice coil, capable of handling 350-watts continuous power and 1,400-watts peak. This high-excursion driver, paired with a specially tuned ported enclosure, delivers tight, authoritative bass with depth and texture far beyond what its size and price suggest. Low-frequency reproduction is optimized for either floor monitor or front of house positions, with strong output down to 35Hz.

Road-Ready Durability

Although affordably priced, the JRX218S is built to withstand the rigors of live performance and touring. Its trapezoidal enclosure is constructed from high-density wood and coated in a durable black textured finish, with reinforced corners and a powder-coated steel grille to protect the woofer. Multiple fly points allow flexible rigging options, while integrated handles make loading in and out a breeze. This subwoofer is a hardworking, no-nonsense solution that refuses to quit.

Unmatched Versatility

With its compact footprint and choice of pole mount or fly points for deployment, the JRX218S slips easily into any system configuration. It works equally well as a floor monitor, flown array or ground stack subwoofer, ready to deliver chest-thumping low end wherever it’s needed. Two parallel 1/4″ jacks accept input from a wide range of sources, facilitating simple and flexible setups.
