Description

The Alvarez Laureate Series LP70e parlor acoustic-electric guitar is designed to inspire. Handcrafted with choice tonewoods like solid Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood, the Laureate LP70e produces a resonant, balanced tone perfect for fingerstyle playing and songwriting. With a thinner, hand-sanded solid spruce top, it’s highly sensitive and responsive to your touch. The parlor-sized body provides a comfortable playing experience while projecting sound well. The L.R. Baggs HiFi pickup system captures the natural acoustic sound and dynamics for live performance, with volume and tone controls that let you shape your sound.

Comfortable Parlor Size for Soloing and Fingerpicking

The compact parlor size of the LP70e is ideal for fingerpicking styles and soloing, with a nut width of 1.75″. The cutaway provides easy access to higher frets, expanding your tonal range. Whether you prefer to strum chords, flatpick melodies or explore intricate fingerstyle patterns, the LP70e parlor guitar comfortably accommodates a variety of techniques.

Thinner Solid Spruce Top Produces a Sensitive Response

The Laureate LP70e parlor acoustic-electric guitar features a thinner, hand-sanded solid Sitka spruce top. Spruce is a popular top wood for its balanced tone and sensitivity. With a thinner top, your Alvarez Laureate LP70e is even more responsive to your playing technique and dynamics. From gentle fingerpicking to energetic strumming, the spruce top accurately reflects the nuances in your playing.

Premium Rosewood Back and Sides Complete the Tonal Package

To complement the solid spruce top, Alvarez selected premium East Indian rosewood for the back and sides. Rosewood produces a rich, warm tone with clear treble notes and robust bass. Together with the spruce top and FS6 bracing, the rosewood back and sides generate a highly resonant, musically inspiring acoustic voice.

FS6 Bracing Optimizes the Spruce Top’s Performance

Alvarez hand-braces the Laureate Series LP70e parlor acoustic-electric guitar with an FS6 bracing system. FS6 bracing, made of quartersawn spruce, is carefully hand-shaped and tuned to maximize the spruce top’s potential. You’ll experience a resonant, sustained tone with complex overtones. The bracing also improves bass and midrange response, resulting in a full, balanced sound throughout the tonal spectrum.

Plug in and Play With the L.R. Baggs HiFi Pickup System

With the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system, you can amplify your Laureate LP70e naturally. The HiFi system accurately captures the guitar’s acoustic properties and tone, resisting feedback. Discreet bridge plate sensors listen to your instrument’s acoustic movement and tonewoods without dampening resonance. You’ll hear your guitar’s true voice through the system. Volume and tone controls mounted inside the guitar’s soundhole allow you to easily shape your amplified tone.
