Roasted Maple Wizard III Neck for Speed and Stability

The Ibanez Wizard III neck is a staple among shredders, known for its ultrathin, flat profile that allows for effortless speed and technical precision. The roasted maple construction enhances stability, making it resistant to temperature and humidity changes?perfect for touring musicians. Paired with a Macassar ebony fretboard, the neck offers tight lows, crisp highs and immediate response for articulate riffing and fluid soloing. With 24 jumbo frets and deep cutaways, the RGD61 grants unhindered access to the highest notes, ensuring you can execute intricate leads with ease.

Nyatoh Body With Aggressive Contours

The Ibanez RGD61 is crafted with a nyatoh body?a tonewood prized for its warm midrange response and rich resonance. Nyatoh strikes the perfect balance between sustain and articulation, making it ideal for the deep, punchy low end required for heavy riffing. The body’s aggressive contours are not just for aesthetics?they’re strategically designed to enhance player comfort, whether performing on stage or recording in the studio. The ergonomic shaping ensures a natural feel against the body, allowing for maximum playability when delivering punishing rhythm work or intricate leads.

Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers for Versatile Metal Tones

The RGD61 is armed with a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker ceramic pickups, designed for high-output clarity with minimal noise. These active pickups deliver a crushing, aggressive tone with tight low end and cutting highs, making them ideal for modern metal and djent-style playing. A push/pull voicing switch on the volume knob unlocks two distinct sounds?one optimized for high-gain saturation and the other for a more open, dynamic response. Whether you’re dialing in brutal chugs or singing leads, these pickups give you total tonal control.

Rock-Solid Hardware for Superior Performance

Ibanez equips the RGD61 with a Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads for exceptional tuning stability, reducing string slippage even after aggressive playing. The innovative Mono-rail bridge isolates each string to minimize crosstalk, enhancing sustain and note definition. Luminescent side dots ensure fret visibility on dark stages, keeping you locked in during high-intensity performances. With a long 26.5″ scale and optimized string tension, the RGD61 is built for precision, power and total reliability.
