Taylor Gold Label 914e Super Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Natural

Description

The Taylor Gold Label 914e Super Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar centers on Taylor?s new Super Auditorium body shape, paired with a solid torrefied Sitka/Adirondack spruce top and solid Honduran rosewood back and sides for a warmer, heritage-leaning voice. The torrefied spruce top adds a mature, played-in responsiveness, while Honduran rosewood contributes strong low-end fundamentals, rich overtones and a focused midrange. Fanned V-Class bracing with hide glue construction deepens resonance and sustain, and LR Baggs Element VTC electronics provide a stage-ready amplified sound that preserves the guitar?s acoustic character. Positioned at the top of the Gold Label series and finished in high gloss with refined, understated appointments, the 914e emphasizes tonal maturity, responsiveness and expressive control.

A Super Auditorium Body Voiced for Warmth and Presence

The Gold Label 914e features Taylor?s Super Auditorium body shape, a reimagined form that blends the balance of a Grand Auditorium with subtly extended proportions for added warmth and presence. Slightly longer overall with a wider lower bout, the Super Auditorium produces a fuller low end and enhanced midrange response while remaining clear and articulate across the register. It is paired with a solid torrefied Sitka/Adirondack spruce top and solid Honduran rosewood back and sides, yielding a richly textured voice with strong fundamentals, blooming overtones and a naturally played-in character from the first notes.

Fanned V-Class Bracing Defines the Gold Label Voice

Internally, the Super Auditorium body is supported by Taylor?s fanned V-Class bracing?an evolution of the V-Class platform that arranges the lower-bout braces in a fan-like pattern. Set with traditional hot hide glue, this structure enhances low-end resonance and midrange richness while preserving the core V-Class benefits of sustain, projection and pitch accuracy up the neck. The result is a voice that feels warmer and deeper than many traditional Taylor acoustics, without sacrificing clarity or control.

LR Baggs Electronics Preserve Acoustic Character

For amplified performance, the Gold Label 914e is equipped with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics chosen for their ability to reproduce the guitar?s acoustic response with clarity and balance. The under-saddle pickup captures dynamic nuance, while discreet soundhole-mounted controls allow quick tonal adjustments without interrupting the guitar?s visual presentation. The system delivers a reliable, stage-ready signal that remains faithful to the instrument?s natural voice in both live and recording environments.

Traditional Appointments Executed With Modern Precision

Visually, the Gold Label 914e draws from earlier acoustic traditions while maintaining Taylor?s precision and restraint. Grained ivoroid binding frames the body, while paua and mother-of-pearl inlays appear across the fretboard, rosette and peghead in a Continental-inspired motif. A modified headstock with a script-style mother-of-pearl logo reinforces the vintage influence, complemented by Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners with ebony buttons and a Honduran rosewood curve wing bridge. Each detail supports the instrument?s identity without overshadowing its musical purpose.

Built for Years of Expressive, Confident Playing

The Taylor Gold Label 914e Super Auditorium is designed for musicians seeking a refined acoustic voice that continues to open up with time and attention. Its combination of the Super Auditorium body design, mature tonewoods, advanced bracing architecture and stage-ready electronics makes it equally compelling for fingerstyle nuance, dynamic strumming, studio sessions and live performance. Complete with a Taylor deluxe hardshell case, the 914e represents a focused evolution of Taylor?s acoustic identity and is built to support years of confident, expressive playing.
